Stitch from Stash Report - January

I have spent $0 for the month! I know it is early yet, but there was a mistake in my paycheck so there won't be any spending at all. :( However, on the plus side I finished my pom pillow! This project was started 1-26-2014. (Finished 1-18-2015. I'm not taking any finishing credit on this because there was so little to finish in January that it wasn't worth trying to calculate stitches into dollars.) I saw it on the cover of the February 2014 issue of Just Cross Stitch. And I decided that it looked like pomegranates so I changed the color. This is the result. I'm going to repurpose part of an old dress to make the casing to turn this into a pillow. (The same as the magazine cover photo.) In the meantime I'm going to keep stitching!

January Crochet (Stitch from Stash)

The start of January has brought the gift of a baby blanket for the girl who does my nails. I bought 4 skeins of yarn - Loops and Threads Impeccable - Holland in December. I decided that I needed one more skein to finish it off how I wanted to. So we took a trip to Michaels and they had all Loops and Threads yarn on sale! So I bought one that I needed and two more that I didn't, but two that I had never used before. The total of my purchase was $6.23. I found this a wonderful bargain! Here's the finished product.

January 1, 2015

I had been debating with myself whether or not to participate in Guilt Free January. I woke up this morning excited to go stash diving to see what I could find. I found "Vineyard" from Hinzeit, partially kitted, and found some fabric to put it on. I also found an old Sweetheart Tree pattern "Two Hearts = One Love". I'm going to use our wedding colors for this one. It's going to be all of 3x7. I haven't yet found the perfect wedding sampler so this will work in the meantime. I also told DH to choose an ornament out of the JCS mag. I think that will get me through the month!
