January 2014
November and December were crazy busy! I finished the sweater and the pirate apron along with the model. I did get paid for the model in advance of our Disneyland trip so that money did get to go. (However, I didn't buy the purse I wanted. I talked myself out of it at the last minute but got a cheaper Mickey Mouse purse with a matching wallet. However, I'm still not over trying to get one of those purses. Can't explain it! But I think I can find one on sale (or even cheaper on Ebay) and feel better about it than getting one at the park.) The Disneyland trip was a great success (with a few minor glitches) and now I can look forward to DH's birthday trip. Stitching-wise I am working on two models at the moment. One is due at the end of the month so I'm really focusing on that one at the moment. Then I have until the end of March to get the other finished. I found a pattern I liked and decided that I needed to change it to reds. So I kitted it up and I'm ready to start as soon as this-months-due-model is finished. That being said, I recently joing a "group". Someone started a "2014 stitch from stash" group on their blog and a stitcher who joined decided to start up a group on a stitching bulletin board. Since my budget for stitching stash is extremely limited I decided to join. With kitting up the project that I did I'm still within the rules of the group. ($25 or less spending on stash/supplies per month) The pattern, fabric, and threads I bought were roughly $22. Second to this is the Red Heart crochet along that's starting on 1/22. It's a textured square afghan. I'm looking forward to being creative with this one.
