May 2012

The model is moving along nicely. It's a band sampler even though the bands are of different heights. I started in the middle and stitched down, now I'm moving up. There are 7 bands and I've already completed 4! I should easily have this done by the end of the month I've started Around the World in 80 stitches - barely. I have not had much time to devote to this, especially since I'm working on the specialty stitch one. (I need to be able to concentrate on what I'm doing.) At least I can say I've got it started. I finished both tams. I gave them to my friends at faire last weekend and they were very happy to have them. Since I got the Wisper for Snowball Fight I managed to finish the scarf on the dragon. Now to do more filling in of other stitches. That too is on the back burner. Maybe I'll try to remember to take this out and work on it once a week. I've been thinking about what project to take on my honeymoon. I know there will be some down-time (at the airport, on the plane, through the layover, etc.) so I want to have a project handy. And not one that I'm bored with because I will most likely only take ONE project with me. I think it's going to be one of the Disney ones. (Makes sense since we're headed there too!) I will save either of the Thomas Kinkade kits (Snow White Discovers the Cottage or Tinkerbell and Peter Pan Fly to Neverland) or the Mickey Mouse one that I've already started for this.
