Shopping Spree!

I went to Needle in a Haystack with my Sissie and splurged on:

Mystic Stitch Welcome (grapes)
Hinzeit Charmed Vineyard
3 Weeks Dye Works (for Vineyard)
2 pks gold needles
1 piece silvery moon linen
1 piece cream pearl linen
1 pair Dovo's scissors

While I didn't need anything except the needles (and even that wasn't completely necessary) it was so much fun to go shopping with my Sissie! I even RAK'd her (random act of kindness - though not so random) with a skein of Needle Necessities and a skein of Gumnuts silk. Now that she's been to "the store" we can hopefully get to the get-together's more often. Of course, there are still a few other stores to show her, but that will come in time.

But for now the little shopping monster is satisfied and I need to get stitching!

Going shopping!

I actually have some money to go shopping and I'm so excited! I get to take my Sissie to a really terrific lns where I know she's going to be overwhelmed, but will be begging me to take her back again. (big grin) Not that either of us will go crazy, but I'm hoping to get something new, maybe a piece of fabric to start a special project for a special friend. (I don't want to say too much just in case she finds this.) I don't have much time to blog today so I will post a shopping report next week.

Progress at last!

I finished band #2 on the model I'm working on. Hooray! I also finished band #3 on the same model. Woohoo! It was the first open weekend in a while. I've been seeing a guy for a couple of months now and he lives quite a distance away, so we have to make the most of weekends. But circumstances being what they were, we weren't seeing each other this weekend so I was back to a weekend like the ones where I wasn't dating at all. I got up when I could no longer sleep and picked up my stitching. During the day I eventually started some laundry and put on a movie to keep me company. So, between changing laundry and movies I was stitching - and I got a lot done. Now I just have to wait for some instructions from the designer as this part had been left a bit vague.

My personal stitching has been put on the back burner and very little has gotten done. So much for my goal of entering in all the fairs this year. That's ok I guess. I haven't had the money to do all the framing I've wanted to do either. This is not a good thing as there are many projects that I want to do and have waiting to go yet not enough time. sigh
